मूल्यांकन (EVALUATION)
Evaluation is the comprehensive and continuous process , which find outs about
the knowledge of student related to any subject or given content .
Mainly the process of evaluation is based on the educational and instructional objectives because the examiner or evaluator tests the students according to the objectives which were decided in the beginning of session or learning process.
Evaluation has more importance than measurement and assessment because measurement gives only quantitative results or numerical results about student there is lack of information about life ethics, personality, attitude towards co-curricular activities and strength of student .
so we can say that measurement is not the basis on which a concluding statement is given about the student.
NEED OF EVALUATION
1-Evaluation is required to give information to the parents about the the condition of student in learning .
2-Evaluation gives feedback teacher so that he or she can improve his or her teaching methods and communication skills.
3-Evaluation gives feedback to student also the student will be able to get help in their studies in future.
4-Evaluation is the backbone of teaching learning process because it tells us how many objectives are completed by the student or learner.
THE PROCESS OF EVALUATION
1-EXAMINATION-
In this step the evaluator tests student through question papers and oral test based on the content and related with educational objectives .
2-DIAGNOSIS-
In this step the evaluator consults with student on his or her result of examination because the evaluator wants to know that what were the reasons due to which the student failed in getting complete his or her educational objectives.
3-REMEDIES
In this step the teacher or evaluator teaches again students according to their requirement these classes are called remedial classes and this teaching is called remedial teaching
In the end of evaluation process the evaluator takes test again which is called remedial test or examination
Evaluator tries to observe the personality of student and gives a statement about student's character.
